A Bathory design for Blood Fire Death, the 1988 album that holds some of the first Viking metal. Its cover is Peter Nicolai Arbo's 1872 painting The Wild Hunt of Odin: armed riders and partly clothed figures storming across the sky on dark horses, under the band's logo in gold. The painting is shown as it appears on the record.
Design
- Front: The BATHORY blackletter logo in gold above The Wild Hunt of Odin, armed riders on dark horses charging through the clouds with ravens below, and BLOOD FIRE DEATH in red at the bottom.
